Hello, and thanks for having a butcher's. I'm Ed, a screenwriter, journalist and story consultant.
My TV CV includes Episodes, Fresh Meat, Made in Chelsea (my first series of which won a BAFTA) and most recently Jesse Armstrong's new HBO drama Succession.
In 2016, with Will Hitchins, I wrote and directed TEDDY2K, a short film about a disenchanted YouTuber starring David Elms and Liam Williams. It was selected for the London Short Film Festival 2017 and you can watch it here.
I now work in drama development for New Pictures, the brilliant company behind The Missing, Rellik and Requiem. Read more about our upcoming projects on our website.
My piece on The South Bank Show's interview with Paul Greengrass came second in The Observer's Anthony Burgess Prize for Arts Journalism.
Read more of my work for The Times Literary Supplement, MR PORTER, The Rake and Little White Lies here.
So, if you fancy a bit of writing, do get in touch!
(NB: Careful not to confuse me with the other Ed Cripps who works at BAFTA. He's a talented chap and his website is here. Always make sure you've got the right Ed Cripps).
(Final NB: I can't work out how to upload my own photo for the background on this page, so I've gone for "misty lake").
